Mood Swing

2.1.12

Designed to be a functional, useful tool.  I’ve been interested in the relationship between conscious state and the experience of time’s rate of passage for a long time.  This device measures time perception.  Pushing the indicator one direction or another, as a reflection of current mood, can lead to surprises.  The next time you move to set it, are you surprised to find it is +3 once again?  How much change from the last time you indicated?  Do you really have mood swings, or do you have a surprisingly stable running average?  Is it possible to experience major swings without a general upset of a stable average?  How does the modern pace affect our tracking, awareness of our immediate physical state, from one day to the next?  The device allows the wearer to collect information about their temporal subjectivity. It can also be worn as an indicator to usurp the sometimes subtle front between inner and outer weather.
